As the Managing Partner for Finix Business Strategies, Mr. Abbaei works with a number of asset managers, brokerage firms, financial institutions and Fortune 2000 companies to guide them through business, technology and/or operational overhauls; assists them in managing their integration and transition efforts, creating business opportunities and strategies; and helps them address day-to-day business challenges.
Mr. Abbaei has an extraordinary track record of delivering services and high quality products on time and within budget. He has managed many large and small scale projects, ranging from multi-billion dollar business transitions and global integrations to developing systems and processes which ranked in the top three within their respective markets.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Operations Officer for Legg Mason Inc. for thirteen years, Mr. Abbaei played a key role in transforming the firm from a small regional brokerage firm to a major global asset manager.
Prior to his tenure at Legg Mason, Mr. Abbaei held positions at Kidder Peabody, Lehman Brothers, CS First Boston and Bell Laboratories.
Throughout his career, Mr. Abbaei has been involved in a number of major transformation, integration and conversion efforts. As a result, he is highly regarded within the industry by both his peers and leading service providers.
Mr. Abbaei has his Masters in Industrial Management and his Bachelors in Computer Science.
